Florida Woman Arrested for Human Trafficking

A Florida woman was recently arrested on human trafficking charges and other charges. The 41-year-old woman from Pembroke Pines allegedly forced multiple women into sex work and gave them drugs such as heroin and fentanyl to subdue them.
Pembroke Pines Police began an investigation after several of the woman’s victims escaped and contacted law enforcement. Investigators discovered that the woman was already on probation for trafficking heroin. She had recruited women who were addicted to fentanyl and heroin and coerced them into human trafficking.
While most of the women were recruited from Miami, one woman was recruited from Pennsylvania. They were promised drugs and a way to make money. The victims were lured into sex work, with the woman reaping most of the profits.
The woman photographed each of the victims and posted their pictures on various commercial sex websites. She then solicited buyers for the victims and directed the women to the dates. To keep the women happy, the woman would give them heroin or fentanyl at certain times of the day.
Eventually, many of the women escaped and came forward to police. Police investigated and arrested the woman, who is currently being held in a Broward County jail.
