Leader of Child Porn Site Gets Life in Prison

Even as he got older, his addiction to child porn did not wane. While in his 30s, he would trade floppy discs of child porn in the mail. In his 40s and 50s, he fantasized about raping young girls. As the assistant U.S. attorney said, the man’s main focus in life was to aggressively exploit children.

A few months ago, the man pled guilty to two federal felony charges. He was recently in a Fort Pierce courtroom to learn his fate as prosecutors debated how many years he should spend in prison. The man was given a chance to speak and that was when he asked the judge for mental freedom from the “invasive, pervasive thoughts always in his mind.”

The judge sentenced the man to 55 years in prison and recommended that he undergo psychosexual therapy, which he desperately needed. The decision followed an hour-long discussion about the contents of the child porn website as well as the man’s role in operating it.

The website was described as “a sanctuary and playground for enthusiasts of child rape and abuse.” Thousands of users would visit the site to exchange videos of young children – even infants. Members of the website would categorize the videos with tags such as “rape,” “torture,” “screaming,” “crying,” and “strangle.”

The defense attorney asked the judge to sentence the man to the minimum 25-year penalty allowed by law. He claimed that the man was ill with various ailments, including prostate cancer, diabetes, a pulmonary embolism, and high cholesterol. It was pretty much guaranteed that he would die in prison, no matter the sentence. The defense attorney stated that 25 years for a man unlikely to live 15 years is a very just sentence.

The attorney stressed that the man mostly oversaw the site’s fantasy and roleplay rooms, where people engage in a game of pretend sexual abuse. While the attorney said it isn’t right, it does not involve the abuse of actual children.

The man apologized to the judge, the children he’d victimized, and to his family, although none appeared in court. The judge, appalled by the man’s propensity to sexual abuse of children, stated that the man is unable to live in civilized society without harming children.
